Before you learn PPC, you have to know first what PPC is. PPC refers to Pay per Click advertising — Google AdWords and Yahoo! search marketing, among other firms — both use this model as part of their offerings.

PPC can help you find BUYERS. Do you think that anyone buys almost anything these days without going online and researching? Not too often anymore. We would even say that these days not doing your research online before you purchase almost any non-trivial item would make you a bit of a fool.

You can target PPC advertising to certain geographic areas, cities, or regions and only advertise to users searching for your specific keywords.

With PPC — you can change your daily budget at any time — great control over your cost.
PPC targets ACTIVE consumers when done right in all phases of the buying cycle. Traditional advertising is like playing the lottery — PPC is a sure thing.

You can run online promotions on an ad hoc basis online with a fixed budget — so if it rains or snows one weekend or for any other reason whatsoever – you can scale back or increase your PPC advertising for any timeframe.

You only pay for actual clicks — not hard to measure impressions (how many half asleep viewers saw your last television advertisement — probably half as many as the networks are telling you).

PPC can measure your ad performance down to the single click and monitor that users behavior during their entire stay on your website.

PPC provides a rock-solid ROI (return on investment) measurement.

You can determine a lot of information about your clients by setting up analytics on your site — incoming locations, how long a user stays on a page, etc…

With a PPC program, you can test run advertising copy much more inexpensively than running traditional advertising. In other words — before you run a big fat radio or television promotion — does it not make sense to first spend a few hundred dollars on the same promotion over the web to see if the offer is effective or not?

You can run almost limitless amounts of advertisements — if you have 50 advertisements you can run all of them in a rotation at no additional cost!

Dollar for dollar — the value proposition on the data you will gather alone makes online advertising very, very valuable for your business. The ROI is very high for PPC advertising online.

How a PTC works?

A PTC site works as a medium through which Advertisers and potential customers can meet each other. It helps advertisers to reach customers and gives customers an opportunity to access the advertisement and earn some money too!

The Problem

The problem lies in the prices charged for Advertisers and prices paid to the Clickers. Advertisers won’t be ready to pay more and clickers won’t be ready to accept less! As the number of members increases sites start having problems. A site being down due to bandwidth problem or server problem is also a recurring and common problem with PTC sites.

Referral Program

Sites offer referral earnings to the existing members to increase their member base and activity. But as the member base increases the sites get into problem as they must attract advertisers otherwise they won’t be able to pay properly. If the sites don’t have a good profit margin they can’t pay referral earnings to all the members.

Premium Membership

Most of the sites earn by offering Premium Membership to their members. It is one of the major sources of income for the PTC sites.

The risk of losing Money and wasting Time

The risk is that it can go bankrupt anytime! The site might get into serious financial problems and close down suddenly or sell the site to somebody if they get a good offer etc.

So you have the risk of losing Money if you upgrade to Premium Membership. If you don’t upgrade then also you have the risk of wasting your invaluable time.

Lack of Professionalism of Site owners and Management

Most owners of the PTC sites are in the business only for money making and no serious goal. And most of them are not so mature in ‘Financial Management’ so it is quite easy to understand that they are not good at using the funds effectively.

Sustainability

Sustainability is the major problem with PTC sites. They do fine in the beginning and then get into deeper problems. That is also one of the reasons for some sites turning into scams.

Scams

It is observed that 95% or more PTC sites are scams! Very scary statistics for a new user as it is very difficult to choose a genuine PTC site. But one can save from being a victim of scams by following some simple points.

There are lots of them online with varying pays to click a link. You can join these programs for free! There are those who claim to give you $0.05 down to $0.01 per link you click. When a member reaches the minimum payout requirement you can request for payment to their choice of payment gateway like PayPal or Alertpay which are the two most common. When you click on a link it takes you to the page with a frame on top of it (which is most common) that starts the designated countdown for that click to finish. Usually it takes 30 seconds till your account is credited for the link and your earnings updated. You get to click about seven links a day, some offer more and some even have only four. You have the option to remain a free/standard member or you can upgrade as a premium member with varying rates. You also get to invite friends as your referrals or you can buy your referrals from the site. The referrals you buy are those members who haven’t signed up under anyone and are offered for sale on the site. It is a common practice that getting more referrals can speed up your earnings because you get to earn a percentage of what they earn. So like the hype they all say about referrals if you have a hundred or more referrals that could pile up a lot of money.

But here’s the truth about PTC sites and the referral thing. Even if you had a hundred referrals you don’t have a guarantee that these people under you are going to be active. People have different attentionspans all over the world. Some even don’t bother to come back to the site after they have seen this site isn’t the right one for them. Some flake out and even are discouraged by the system. The year 2008 marks the period where PTC sites have been most bombarded by hacks and attacks and so this adds to the factor where members lose hope with their PTC programs and never return. The sites undergo extreme pressure on their servers from these attacks that they cannot sustain the site any longer and some actually are forced to close. The sites’ forums are also bombarded with so much complaints about the service and mostly the delays in their payments. My personal experience has made me come to a conclusion that PTC is not for everyone. Most of them don’t care about their members. They don’t! That seems to be rather too general or is it really.
In my opinion if you want to start earning online for free, PTC sites are not for you. Some members fail to read the fine writing in the terms. On payment processes. Most PTC sites prioritize payments for those who are premium members. I have to admit being a standard member I have been waiting for my pay from one particular PTC and it has been over two months and still nothing is in my PayPal account. I can understand that part very well. But I see it as a very vague way of business. Do they have to let the members suffer and agonize about their payments. I mean those members didn’t actually just sit there and did nothing you know. They spent months or even a year to reach payout and they just disappoint them. Those free members actually made these sites some money for their clicks and is that all they can give them. Not even a real assurance in good faith to make them happy for the little clicks they made. Some fail to see this in a better light. Little as those clicks maybe at $0.01, but think about it, if the site has about 500,000 free members that amounts to a lot of money. They should at least give them some spark of hope with the speed of payment processing. To me it is a joke really. They prey on helpless people who just wants to earn a few extra bucks online. What happens if these members lose their faith on the site altogether even before payout time? When the members cancel their accounts they get to keep the members earnings. That amounts to a lot of money there. I have joined more than 10 of these sites and I conclude that if you set out to go earning online with PTC sites as a free member you will be frustrated.

I would like to suggest a few points to avoid being a victim of scams though they are no guarantee:

1. Avoid spending money on any PTC site unless you are very sure of that site

2. Avoid spending a lot of time on PTC sites

3. Do the research properly before joining any PTC site

4. Join forums and discussion sites to see what the existing members are saying about a particular site

5. Check out the site you have joined by visiting the site’s forum and the functioning of the forum. Many PTC forums are controlled by administrators and if somebody makes a negative remark they don’t publish it. Be wary of such forums.

6. Never ever get excited by any enticing opportunity

7. Never do something unless you are very sure of what you are doing

8. Remember that your first goal is to find a reliable site and that reduces your half the risk!

9. Always be alert and interact with the members through any platform that is convenient to you.

10. Lastly, don’t give much importance to PTC sites!
There are other programs where you can get to earn money doing other things online and they don’t even require you to pay for a premium membership or get so many referrals. Don’t bother with PTC sites if you don’t have the money to upgrade because you will not get payment priority. To cap it off, there has been a lot of these sites that have disappeared online leaving members disappointed, frustrated and empty handed in six months to a year of clicking. PTC sites is not for everyone!

I hope this information helps anyone who is new to the PTC world or don’t know much about the PTC sites and contemplating whether to join or not.

Firstly before you start this, you need at least 1 website or blog
to use it up to a maximum of 5 web sites or blogs. This is good for newbies
who want to start out making money online.

You can make some good money using this site on complete auto
pilot.

You get paid £5 ($10) for signing up and then you get paid £3 ($6) per
page per site, you are allowed up to 25 pages so you could be earning
£75 ($150) per month just for putting some ads on a few of your web
sites every single month.

Plus if you join the Affiliate program you also get £5 ($10) for every
person that joins and has ads approved, so as you can see you can
earn a lot of money using this site.

Although this site is based in UK you can have your payments via
Paypal, so as long as you have a Paypal account it doesn’t matter
what country you live in.

Even if you don’t want to actively promote the affiliate program your
link is automatically put into every ad, so if someone clicks on the
Matched link and joins, you get the commission.

Assuming you have a web site you need to CLICK HERE to sign up
for this service.

You then need to click on Publisher Sign Up button and then fill in
all the details required.

As part of the sign up you need to enter the details of your web site or
blog, if you have more than one just put the details for one at the
moment you can enter the details of more later.

Once you have successfully filled in all the details you will be sent a
confirmation email to confirm it is a genuine email address, when
you receive the email just click on the link in it to confirm your
account.

Once you have confirmed your account you will be able to login to
your account.

After you have logged in you will be taken to your publishers – My
Websites & Pages.

From there, you can add four more pages from the website you originally
entered the details of.

You are allowed 5 pages per web site so you might as well use them
all to make more money.

Once you have entered these pages you will be allowed to enter the
details of 4 more web sites or blogs that you want to add.

By all the links it will initially say “ We are trying to match an ad to your
page”

It might take a little while for them to match your pages
with ads but when they do they will send you a mail each
time they match one up.

Once they have matched an ad up you need to choose the ad that you
want to display by clicking on the link that says to chose your ad.

You can choose whatever ad size best fits your need.
After you have chosen it the link will change to upload your ad

Once on this page you can chose to have the ad in HTML, PHP or
ASP. Once you have chosen this you just highlight all the text and
copy it or you can download it and then enter it into the source code
of the appropriate web page.

Once you have entered the ad code and uploaded it to the server you
click on the “Confirm Ad Code Is Live” button to confirm it has been
entered correctly.

You can change the pages chosen until an ad is match with you, so if
they cant match an ad with the pages you have chosen you can try a

If you haven’t yet heard, Angelina Jolie-Pitt already gave birth to fraternal twins namely Knox Leon Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie-Pitt at Fondation Lenval hospital in Nice, France. Vivienne is the French form of Vivian, which reflects her place of birth. Her middle name was chosen as a nod to her late grandmother, Marcheline Bertrand (Angelina’s mother who lost a battle with ovarian cancer). Knox was the middle name of Brad’s maternal grandfather (His mom was James Etta Hillhouse, her father was Hal Knox Hillhouse). Leon is the name of Angelina’s great-great grandfather.

Anticipating those who are thinking of cashing in on Brangelina’s twins, the attorneys of Brad and Angelina quickly snatched up domain names all of which are in almost every possible combination. Below are what has been snatched so far:

While this may not be related to making money online, I really feel like featuring this one since I am a proud kapampangan and I believe we should all be proud for this phenomenal concept.

I happen to pass by a blog site which is at http://kalamtv.blogspot.com and it totally captured my attention since I am into this kind of stuff…acting, directing, arts, stuff like that. It is about a first ever “Kapampanganovela”. While we all got used to the usual telenovelas like mexican-telenovela, chinovela and koreanovela…a Kapampanganovela would exclusively use the native tongue of Pampanga.

“Kalam” is the title of the TV series that is about to be produced. Kalam is an obra maestra of Kalalangan Kamaru—a dynamic group with Laxamana, Dobles, Jon Tanganco, Alex Tiotuico, Grace Dayrit, and Nhoel Austria as the core members. I heard “sisigman” is one of them but I don’t know who’s who since I haven’t met him in person. I only know the handle “sisigman” via DeviantArt…he’s in my watch list.(my DA id is deadster)

I will keep an eye on this project. I think we should all keep an eye on it. Kamaru is still open for auditions if you want to be part of this phenomenon. Hmmm…part of me says that I should audition…hehehe

Before bragging about this sweet babe of mine, I would first let you know that 40% of my online income comes from Google Adsense. I’ve got some sites running on auto pilot which are being monetized by Adsense. Before, I used to receive my Adsense earnings by check until it was announced that it can now be obtained via Western Union money transfer – which is so cool because a WU branch is just a few walks away from our house. Most of the time,I just keep my earnings and either let it grow in my savings account or reinvest it through stuff like UITF or time deposits. I am a very thrifty person.

Recently,my 7-year old 17″ AOC monitor suddenly showed signs of retirement. It flickers most of the time which interrupts most of my activities. I had no choice but to opt for replacement. It was not that easy at first because of some sentimental issues which prevented me from replacing it even before it began to flicker. It has been a witness to most of my ups and downs…the failures and triumphs.

Sentimentality aside, I hopped on a bus and travelled all the way to PC City in Gilmore Manila and this LG L194WT 19 Inch LCD monitor caught my eye. I don’t even have ESP but I sort of hear it saying “buy me”. I took a closer look and checked its specs. I was looking for a contrast ratio higher than 800:1. Lo and behold, this babe has a contrast ratio of 2000:1 ! Holy smokes! I immediately asked the store keeper how much this sexy slut costs. It’s only Php 8,500. My my my…I got to have it. I was even amazed how light this bitch is…I could lift it with a finger. It wasn’t a hassle carrying it from Manila going home to Pampanga.

As soon as I arrived,I immediately ripped out the box and let out my new lover. As I’ve said, it is so light and the installation is just abreeze. Took some pictures of it and now here I am posting it in my blog.

Goodbye desktop’s rose

Me love you long time!

I hope this little tale could inspire you a bit and let you know that making money online is not impossible. I am not alone in this kind of achievements (making money from Adsense). In fact, there are those who have purchased much cooler stuff. To name a few, there’s Darren, Rebel Pixel, Macuha, Racoma and Yuga. So what would Adsense buy next? A car? I still don’t know yet. Plot thickens as I’m a very thrifty person.

I was Google-ing around one time in search for alternative CPC programs when I came across TNX.net What made me stop and browse it around was its slogan that says “TNX.net combines the benefits of Contextual Advertising, Text Link Brokers and Relevant Exchange of permanent non-reciprocal text links.”

Sounds too good to be true it seems so I had myself exploring it and was surprised by the flow of its system. Webmasters are able to sell links from every page of their website and not just the main page. As a webmaster myself, I do want to take advantage of this kind of concept. I could even choose which advertiser to accept. All I have to do is just install the code provided and they will automatically calculate your site’s worth. Imagine how many pages your site is—multiply that and it’s gonna be a total money maker!

Oh..did I just say it’s a total money maker? Yes I did. You get paid with points BUT these are not any points. These points can grow…sort of like earning interest. You can then make money by either selling the points to a fellow TNX member or to TNX website itself. You can also combine the code ith your other CPC codes—NO RULES VIOLATED!

So yeah…come and check it out. It’s now or never.

Even law abiders, like me, sometimes have flaws which unintentionally violates Adsense’s policies. Alot of newbies who have heard about Adsense’s income potential mostly turn to the dark side immediately without familiarizing themselves first with the policies. Turns out that thousands of accounts are being banned each day. Google is a multi-billion company. They really can afford to become super smart. What I mean by that is they can employ someone to just focus on a single account (yours for example) and monitor on it everyday. Multiply that employee by thousands—definitely it’s impossible to outsmart it. Think of it as being inside the Big Brother house. You don’t believe me? Then suit yourself. I wouldn’t do that if I were you.

But for those of you who don’t mind of being watched and earning at the same time, here are the basic rules to keep your account in good standing. source: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=23921

* Don’t click on your own Google ads.
Clicking on Google ads on your own site for any reason is strictly prohibited. If you’d like more information about one of the advertisers appearing on your site, please type the URL of the ad directly into your browser’s address bar, or use the AdSense preview tool.

* Don’t ask others to click on Google ads.
Users should click on Google ads because they’re interested in the services being advertised. Encouraging users to click on your Google ads, either directly or indirectly, can lead to inflated advertiser costs and can cause your account to be disabled.

* Don’t employ pop-up prompts or automatic software installations.
Google is dedicated to improving the user experience on the Internet, and promoting responsible software principles is part of that effort. Sites showing Google ads may not prompt users to install software on their machines. Publishers must also not attempt to change users’ browser home pages automatically or via pop-up prompts.

* Be aware of how your site is promoted.
Pages showing Google ads may never be loaded in an unrequested pop-up. This means publishers need to be very careful when purchasing traffic or setting up ad campaigns with third parties. Before contracting with any ad network, you should ensure that they will never display your site in pop-ups or as a result of the actions of any software application.

*Don’t place Google ads on sites that contain prohibited content.
Google ads may not be displayed alongside any type of content prohibited by our program policies, including adult or mature content, gambling-related content, or drug content. It’s your responsibility to ensure that all of your pages adhere to these policies.

*Respect Google trademarks.
Framing or mimicking Google pages is strictly prohibited by our Guidelines for Use of Google Brand Features. In addition, publishers may not use any Google Brand Features such as Google trademarks, logos, webpages or screen shots, without prior consent from Google.
*Don’t tamper with the AdSense code.
AdSense offers a wide variety of approved formats, colors, and features in your AdSense account. Once you’ve generated your code, however, we ask that you do not alter any portion of the code or change the layout, behavior, targeting, or delivery of ads for any reason, unless specifically authorized to do so by Google.

*Provide a positive user experience.
Sites that contain excessive pop-ups, use sneaky redirects to obtain traffic, or otherwise attempt to interfere with normal web navigation aren’t permitted in the AdSense network. Please make sure your site doesn’t deceive your users in any way. Also, every AdSense publisher is required to adhere to the Webmaster Guidelines on quality to ensure that their site provides a positive user experience.

*Provide a good environment for advertisers.
Sites showing Google ads should not present a poor opportunity for advertisers. Sites that use tricks or deceptive practices in order to trigger inadvertent clicks on ads are prohibited.

*Be responsive.
Publishers are asked to be responsive to emails sent by the AdSense team. Be sure to keep your email address up-to-date, in case we ever need to contact you about your account. To update your email address, follow the instructions here.
